It is ISEP’s mission to nurture innovative scholars who develop and apply integrative approaches to solve challenging problems in science, engineering, computing and medicine. The ISEP directorate takes overall responsibility for the direction and day-to-day operations of the programme.

Wong Limsoon

Programme Director

Prof Wong Limsoon is Kwan-Im-Thong-Hood-Cho-Temple Chair Professor in the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is a Fellow of the ACM, inducted in 2013 for his contributions to database theory and computational biology. He currently works mostly on knowledge discovery technologies and their application to biomedicine. In particular, he likes to identify interesting ways of using logic in analyzing omics data and in more general problem solving.

Lee Siew Ching Joan

Dr Joan Lee was an A*STAR scholar and graduated from NGS in 2009. She completed a research fellowship in neuro-oncology at the National Neuroscience Institute (SingHealth) and joined NGS in 2012.

Dr Joan Lee works closely with the ISEP Deanery to help students overcome the difficulties that arise during their candidature. She is the school’s Student Support Manager and has participated in workshops conducted by the University Counselling Services (UCS) and the Student Support Services in the Office of Student Affairs (S3-OSA).
